The Fort McMurray Boys and Girls Club would not be able to provide its services without the help of the wonderful people, businesses, and organizations of Fort McMurray. There are many ways to help support our programs. If you are interested in volunteering you can fill out an application form. Please be aware that we require all applicants that will be volunteering at the Club when there are children present to submit an up to date Criminal Record Check. You will also be asked to supply us with 3 character references and go through an interview to help decide where your best fit would be in our organization.
Time
Your time is our greatest asset; whether it is helping sort through our equipment and supplies, taking time to mentor some of our youth, or helping out by fixing up the building. If you have a few hours a month we can find some way for you to help the Club. We also have casinos and usually have trouble finding volunteers. If you are interested in finding out the casino dates please Contact Us and we will put you on our list of contacts.
Talent
If you possess a talent that you would like to share with the Club, please let us know. There are opportunities for workshops with youth, training for staff, or just good old entertainment for our members. Please remember that an up to date Criminal Record Check will be required.
Donations
If you or your organization have supplies, toys, books, or furniture that is in good condition please let us know! Please contact Nicole at 780-791-7775 to set up a time if you would like to drop items off; sometimes it is hard to get out of programming so setting up an appointment ensures our staff can be prepared to accept items. If you have large items we can try to arrange pick up as well.
